Blog Assignment 5

 Our shooting went relatively well. Although we were not yet able to find someone to interview for our expert interview we did have a chance to get some very interesting footage downtown. We found some interesting street performers to interview/showcase and we were also able to get three very informative vox-pop interviews. The street performers we spoke with were very supportive with our project and let us film them for as long as we wanted.

                When speaking with the interviewees in the last of our three vox-pops we were invited to attend a cos-play event at the Calico room. There we obtained some gnarly footage of a freestyle rappers performance and a multitude of crazy coloured costumes. It was definitely a great aesthetic addition to our project, which was really lacking in the colour spectrum up to that point. After the calico room we also got some very interesting sound of the music playing in the bars. The only setback was that our video camera did not record any sound, so it is going to be rather hard to sync up all the audio.
